Actor Anthony Michael Hall is best known for his teenager roles in National Lampoon’s Vacation, Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Weird Science. As an adult he’s taken on more dramatic roles, most notably, the psychic Johnny Smith on The Dead Zone, which is based on the Stephen King novel and film. (Christopher Walken played Smith in the movie.)
Maybe it was Hall’s experience on The Dead Zone that provoked him to call Kim Russo, aka “The Happy Medium.” On her show The Haunting Of… she helps celebrities connect with spirits that haunt their homes. With Hall, Russo meets him at a Hollywood hotel where he allegedly had “a frightening paranormal experience”… 30 years ago! In the preview, the 47-year-old Hall comes across as extremely rude to Russo, which is unusual for the show. Most celebrities are intrigued and even have fun with the thrill of connecting with the other side, but Hall is hiding something, and is defensive. Russo warns that “If Anthony Michael Hall is going to survive this haunting he will have to be honest about his past.” The Haunting of… airs Saturdays at 10pm on LMN.
