Madam Secretary Elizabeth McCord is in an awkward situation. Her old friend Juliet is accused of treason. She’s considered by the government as “an evil mastermind.” When McCord visits Juliet in an interrogation room, she pulls up a chair and tells Juliet, “I’m here to save your life.” But it’s not going to be easy. Juliet accuses McCord of being the traitor. And there’s a good possibility that McCord might have violated the espionage act.
McCord is portrayed by Tea Leoni. Juliet is portrayed by Nilaja Sun. She is best known for her Obie award winning one-woman play “No Child…” In the drama, Sun plays a number of characters including herself as a Bronx high school teacher whose convinces her tough students to get involved in a production of Timberlake Wertenbaker’s Our Country’s Good. Since “No Child…”, Sun has landed a number of roles on TV shows including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, 30 Rock, and Louie. She will also appear in an upcoming episode of the final season of Nurse Jackie. Madam Secretary airs Sundays at 8pm on CBS.
