The Apple Watch surprisingly lacks a security feature that has been standard on iPhones for a couple of years, reports idownloadblog.com. A thief who gets hold of an Apple Watch can reset the device and make it work with a new iPhone “as if you just purchased it from an Apple Store.”
The feature that has been part of iPhones since iOS 7 is called an Activation Lock. It makes it nearly impossible to disable the Find My iPhone feature — you can’t do it without login info. The Apple Watch lacks the Activation Lock. See below Jeff Benjamin’s excellent video showing how easy it is to reset the Apple Watch.
