Actor Nicholas Hoult grew up famous. His first big role was the boy opposite Hugh Grant in the film About a Boy. (Rachel Weisz and Toni Collette co-starred in the film which is based on Nick Hornby’s book.) Hoult kept a high profile while dating fellow actresses Kristen Stewart and Jennifer Lawrence. Now Hoult’s starring in the blockbuster Mad Max: Fury Road with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron.
When Hoult was recently asked by Glamour about what it was like growing up famous, Hoult admitted to trying to be “more normal.” He said Hugh Grant was “a good role model to have [at age 12].” Hoult, now 25, said “if it had been someone else who’s a bit iffy, I could have ended up a monster.” Hoult will appear on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live on May 6.
