Right before Jill (Duggar) Dillard gave birth to her first child, Israel (after 70-hours of labor!), both sides of the family got together. Her husband Derick was presented with a gift from his mother. She gave him a journal she had kept while she was pregnant with him.
In it is a note written by Derick’s father. He had just felt Derick kick in his mother’s belly for the first time. They were new parents just like Jill and Derick. When Derick read the message aloud, everyone in the room had tears in their eyes. Derick’s father died about seven years ago. Israel’s birth (aka Baby Dilly) will be featured on a two-hour special of 19 Kids and Counting on May 5 at 8pm on TLC.
