The seventh season of the TV competition show American Ninja Warrior will premiere on May 25 at 8pm on NBC. Participants include former Baltimore Raven Brendon Ayanbadejo, Seattle Seahawk Jon Ryan, and a spry 72-year-old veteran named Chuck Mammay. All of them set out to complete obstacle courses in six different cities in hopes of qualifying for the finals in Las Vegas. The winner takes home $1 million.
As the oldest contestant on the show Chuck Mammay said, “It’s something that I can’t even tell people how excited I am. It’s more than the ninja warrior now. It’s part of paying tribute to the military. … As of last year, I’m the oldest contestant by 20 years. … But the thing is, it takes a lot of dedication. I’ve been doing three to six hours a day of physical activity.
