In between her meetings with the President of the United States, Madam Secretary Elizabeth McCord sees a therapist to deal with her PTSD. The therapist, Dr. Kinsey Sherman, is portrayed by the legendary stage actress Marsha Mason.
Mason is also known for her roles in the films The Goodbye Girl with Richard Dreyfus, Clint Eastwood’s Heartbreak Ridge, and Cinderella Liberty with James Caan. On TV she’s best known for her roles on Frasier (Sherry Dempsey, girlfriend of Frasier’s dad), Army Wives (Charlotte Meade), and most recently The Middle (Pat Spence). Madam Secretary airs Sundays at 8pm on CBS.
