Sherlock is investigating a string of high-end car thefts in the city on Elementary. Well, not thefts exactly. Someone is moving fancy cars from owners’ driveways onto the street. What all the cars have in common is the Castle security system. Turns out Sherlock’s recovery sponsor, Alfredo Llamosa, installs those security systems. Sherlock was told by Castle that Alfredo was recently let go. Now Sherlock thinks Alfredo is the one behind the car relocations.
When Sherlock confronts Alfredo in his garage, his sponsor tells him “I wasn’t fired. They were bad mouthing me to my clients. They said I was using.” Sherlock doesn’t buy it. He tells Alfredo he’s going to get caught. “How are you going to stay sober in prison?” he asks Alfredo with the usual smugness. Alfredo is portrayed by Ato Essandoh who’s best known for his roles in the films Django Unchained, Blood Diamond, and Hitch. He also has recurring roles on the TV shows Girls (D. August), and Blue Bloods (Reverend Darnell Potter). Elementary airs Thursdays at 10pm on CBS.
