Director Bryan Singer announced that actress Olivia Munn (The Newsroom, Mortdecai) will portray Betsy Braddock (aka mutant superheroine Psylocke) in the highly-anticipated film X-Men: Apocalypse. She will co-star with Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum and Rose Byrne. Within the same week, the news organization TheWrap announced that Munn will be joining them too. Munn, “an avid investor in technology”, will be a featured speaker at TheWrap’s first Power Women Breakfast in San Francisco on May 8.
The theme of TheWrap breakfast is “It’s Personal: The Future of Entertainment in a Tech-Driven World.” The hosts of the event are The Wrap’s CEO and Editor-in-Chief Sharon Waxman and the founder of Box.org, Karen Appleton.
