Three elite French athletes were among the 10 people killed in a helicopter crash in Argentina. They were filming a TV survival show called Dropped for channel TF1. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The three athletes were Olympic swimmer Camille Muffat, yachtswoman Florence Arthaud, and Olympic boxer Alexis Vastine. Muffat was a three-time Olympic medalist. She won gold in the 400-meter freestyle, silver in the 200-meter freestyle, and bronze in the 4×200-meter freestyle relay at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She retired in July 2014. She was just 25.
