On The Returned, teenager Camille is one of the first to return from the dead. She died in a school bus accident. Her return, reasonably, throws her family for a loop. Camille’s parents have decided to get back together after being separated, and her sister Lena is pissed. Camille is the favorite child. There’s a thick layer of guilt, too. Lena was supposed to be on the bus also but she skipped it to stay home and fool around with boy Camille was in love with.
Lena is portrayed by Sophie Lowe. The 24-year-old actress (born in the UK, raised in Australia) is best known for her TV roles as Alice in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, and Connie in the original, Australian TV show The Slap. Lowe is currently filming Waiting for the Miracle to Come. She plays an aspiring trapeze artist who discovers a cryptic letter from her recently deceased father. In the letter, her father tells her to go to a remote California desert where she’ll find gold. Actress extraordinaire Charlotte Rampling (Broadchurch, Dexter) and the legendary country singer Willie Nelson co-star. The Returned airs Mondays at 10pm on A&E.
