Michael Schumacher, the former Formula 1 champion, retired from racing after a skiing accident in 2013 caused him severe head injuries. Undaunted, Schumacher’s 15-year-old son Mick Schumacher signed a contract with Van Amersfoort Racing to drive in the Formula 4, a series for young racers. This weekend, Mick crashed a car while testing it on a race track in Germany. He was going 100 mph. The teenager walked away unscathed.
A former kart driver Mick Schumacher will make his open-wheel racing debut at the Formula 4 series on the weekend of April 24th – 26th, 2015 in the etropolis Motorsport Arena Oschersleben. All of the junior open-wheel racing drivers will complete in seven race weekends.
