Majestically gifted Miami Heat big man Hassan Whiteside has control issues. After a rocky start to his career, Whiteside has made a new name for himself with the Heat this year–doing remarkable things on the court. But his old habits rear up. Whiteside got kicked out of the Heat’s recent loss against the Celtics for shoving Celtic Kelly Olynyk, after getting the boot from a recent Suns game for fighting.
3-time NBA champ Dwyane Wade really can’t understand the lack of self control. Wade explains a lot about what’s required of an NBA player when he talks about what Whiteside needs to do: “You’re part of an organization…you’ve got to be reliable…you can’t keep having [selfish moments]…right now… he’s not reliable.”
