Redfoo is known for lots of things. He’s a singer, dancer, record producer, DJ and rapper. He was half of the musical duo LMFAO with his nephew Sky Blue. He’s the youngest son of Motown Records founder Berry Gordy, Jr., and he went to school with will.i.am, who introduced him to Interscope head Jimmy Iovine, who signed LMFAO to the label. Their songs “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy and I Know It” were big hits. They got to perform live on Dancing With the Stars (when Redfoo was a guest judge), and during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime (2012) with Madonna.
Now Redfoo is promoting his solo career by being a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. He’s partnered with professional dancer Emma Slater. He’s the first guest judge ever to return as a contestant. Redfoo has some killer moves, there’s no doubt about that. Some of his funky flexibility comes from his other physical passion – tennis. He tried to qualify for the 2013 US Open as a wild-card entry, and he did qualify for the USTA Northern California Sectional tournament that year, but he was knocked out 6-1,6-2 in his first match. “It’s always been a dream of mine to play professional tennis,” Redfoo said. P.S. He also used to date world’s No. 2 player Victoria Azarenka. They split in 2014.
