On crime drama series The Blacklist, Red Reddington (James Spader) and the task force target a serial killer who tracks her victims like prey, hence the nickname “The Deer Hunter.” Not many serial killers are women — about 8%. 76% of all female serial killers are American. According to Psyed.org, 80% of the murders they commit are done by poisoning.
The casting crew of The Blacklist nailed it when they hired the quirky, strangely magnetic actress Amanda Plummer as the serial killer. The daughter of actor Christopher Plummer, Amanda got her big break when she starred opposite Robin Williams in the 1991 film The Fisher King. But she might be best remembered as Honey Bunny in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. She’s American, by the way.
