Actress Catherine Bell is known for her TV roles as Lieutenant Colonel Sarah MacKenzie on JAG and as Denise Sherwood on Army Wives. She’s also known as The Good Witch (Cassie Russell) on The Hallmark Channel. Bell starred in and produced seven Good Witch movies and now she’s turning the movies into a regular TV series on Hallmark.
On Good Witch the TV show, Cassie has restored the old house in Middleton and turned it into a Bed & Breakfast which welcomes a variety of story lines. There are new neighbors to contend with too, including Dr. Sam Radford played by Desperate Housewives‘ James Denton. Cassie and Sam clash, but in a fun way. The doctor doesn’t believe in Cassie’s magic. Bell is also known as a Scientologist, so she can relate to Cassie and to staying strong when people ridicule her belief. Good Witch premieres Saturday, February 28, 8pm on Hallmark.
