Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has a pair of gold cleats. He planned to wear the $1,100 shoes (with 24K gold flake paint) for the NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers but the NFL said no. According to ESPN: “He would be violating the league’s uniform code and would not be allowed to play until he was in compliance.”
If Lynch had worn the gold, he could have been kept out of the Super Bowl. He opted for green shoes. And they worked. No word on whether the gold cleats will be available through Lynch’s athletic performance clothing brand, Beast Mode. He does sell his Monster24k headphones there, and at Best Buy.
