At the Slammy Awards this week, hosted by Seth Green, WWE Diva AJ Lee was announced winner of the 2014 Diva of the Year. Paige, Nikki Bella and Brie Bella were the other contenders. AJ Lee skipped up to the stage to accept her award and spoke to the crowd: “You can be a nerd, you can be a tomboy, and you can still be the longest reigning Divas Champion of all time! So I hope that means that next year this award is won by Bayley, or Sasha, or Charlotte, or Paige. Any of those girls can be next in line for the throne, but I’m not done being queen, and Sunday I will take back what is mine and I will become the four-time Divas Champion!”
Later in the night, AJ won the Divas Match against Summer Rae. According to Lee’s official website, AJ “out of nowhere jumps up and spins Summer right into her ‘Black Widow’ submission finisher! Summer has no choice, but to tap-out, giving AJ the victory!” AJ’s not just rich with titles and wins — her 3-year contract annual salary is $104,000 — she also sells a boatload of her ‘Black Widow’ merchandise. T-shirts, hats, baby bibs, wallets, jewelry, action figures, you name and AJ Lee is selling it. That’s where her net worth of $6.4 million comes from. Think she’s worth it?
