Former Commodores singer and international superstar Lionel Richie asked if he could perform at the 2015 Glastonbury Festival in the UK and the answer was yes! The festival takes place June 24-28 on Worthy Fam, and it’s already sold out. Past notable Americans who have performed at the festival have included Neil Diamond, Paul Simon, and last year, Dolly Parton brought down the house.
“He’s got so many amazing songs, to see him perform here on the farm is just going to be wonderful,” said Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis. In addition to music, the festival includes dance, comedy, theatre and a circus. We hope Lionel Richie’s inflatable head makes an appearance, too.
