The Pop artist Andy Warhol looks like a zombie or devil with red piercing eyes. His image is superimposed on a canvas that’s a virtual explosion of color. This strange vision comes from the creative and fertile mind of Chris Brown, who apparently sees a future in the arts beyond making music. Brown clearly feels a connection with the deceased icon of Pop art.
Prior to the exhibit–called “The Lost Warhols Collaboration”–Brown shared with his legion of fans the news on Instagram that he has created many Warhol pieces. Brown collaborated with the photographer Karen Bystedt for the show. Makes you wonder: if Chris Brown had been alive during Warhol’s heyday, would the Pop genius have seen Brown as Superstar material?
