Former child actress Candace Cameron Bure (Full House) occasionally makes a splash in the news for commenting on a variety of things including, most recently, Kim Kardashian’s nude photos for Paper magazine. “How much longer do I have to look at Kim Kardashian’s butt on my twitter feed? ugh.” Like her brother, former child star Kirk Cameron (Growing Pains), Candace maintains a wholesome image as an adult. As young successful adults, she and Kirk became Christians. Kirk has become notorious for promoting his evangelical views via movies including Saving Christmas, which was released on November 14.
While Kirk is all about putting Christ back in Christmas, Candace is all about keeping Christmas Under Wraps. That’s the title of her TV movie which premieres Saturday, November 29 at 8pm on The Hallmark Channel. Candace plays a young, driven doctor who doesn’t get the prestigious position she planned for, so she takes a job in a remote Alaskan town. There’s a feel-good moral to the story but there’s no mention of Christ. There isn’t even an angel on top of the tree — it’s a secular star!
