Actor Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton of Fresh Prince of Bel Air) is the best celeb dancer on this season’s Dancing With the Stars. He has the incredible advantage of being a former professional dancer but all that former Broadway glory doesn’t help Ribeiro on DWTS in the moment of truth. He’s got to perform. And right now Ribeiro is suffering from a groin injury that happened while rehearsing with his TV partner Witney Carson. “It’s been really grueling for me, because it’s constantly doing treatment on my body,” Ribeiro tells TVGuide.com. “There’s never enough hours in the day, because I’ve got to literally dance all day and then try to do treatment in between.”
If you’ve seen Ribeiro dance, you know he’s going to power through the injury to win. On Monday, November 10, he and Witney will do the foxtrot to Fred Astaire’s “Ain’t That a Kick in the Head” and then do a trio – a paso doble with Witney’s friend Lindsay Arnold. So while Alfonso says he feels like he “can’t do 100 percent,” compared to Tommy Chong, Ribeiro has nothing to work about. Hang in there, Alfonso, there’s only three weeks left!
