Rumor has it that One Direction singer Zayn Malik will be offered a Bollywood deal which could pay him £500,000 ($803k) to produce/perform a song for a film. Bollywood actor Gulshan Grover said “there is definite interest in getting Zayn to star in a Bollywood film or deliver a song.”
Zayn wouldn’t be the first English-speaking pop star to appear in a Bollywood film. Kylie Minogue was paid £800,000 ($1.2 million) for her role in the underwater thriller Blue, and Snoop Dogg was paid $475,000 to write and sing a song in the romantic comedy Singh is Kinng. Snoop wore a traditional Indian turban and tunic for the scene.
