After shaving her head to play the role of Nebula in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Scottish actress Karen Gillan (Doctor Who) will star in an American Western, In a Valley of Violence. Set in the 1890s, a stranger (Ethan Hawke) arrives in a small town seeking vengeance for his murdered friend. John Travolta plays The Marshal.
In a Valley of Violence is written and directed by 33-year-old Ti West who is known for horror films like The House of the Devil (2009) and The Innkeepers (2012). The director and cast started filming in Santa Fe, New Mexico this summer. In a Valley of Violence will be released in 2015.
