Former child star Keke Palmer (True Jackson, VP) will become Broadway’s first black Cinderella. Although a serious triple threat (actress,singer,dancer), it will be Palmer’s debut on the Great White Way. Her eight-performances-a-week schedule will being September 9, 2014.
Palmer, now 21-years-old, is best known for her TV work. She was in the Nickelodeon sitcom True Jackson, VP (she earned $20k per episode which made her the fourth highest-paid child star on TV). She played Chili in CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, and just joined the cast of Showtime’s brilliant series Masters of Sex. She’s released two R&B albums – So Uncool in 2007 and Keke Palmer in 2012 – and she has her own weekday talk show, Just Keke, on BET. Something’s gotta give. Palmer is a serious triple threat but can she perform eight times a week and host a talk show?
