Burger King Chicken Fries are like McDonald’s McRib. Both items ignite extreme passion in munchers and, because of some marketing secret sauce, both occasionally disappear from fast food menus only to reappear magically–reinvigorating the passion. Burger King just announced that the enormously popular Chicken Fries–mysteriously “disappeared” from menus nationwide in 2012–are being brought back. And fans are responding.
It’s all about ease of dipping. Sure you can dip a nugget, but Burger King Chicken Fries are stick-shaped–tailor-made for the dip. Of course the Chicken Fries return is for a “limited time only.” If there’s one thing American business knows in this volatile time, it’s this: Deep fried scarcity sells.
