Sin City directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller debuted a new red band trailer for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For at Comic Con this week. And yes, it’s all that. Sex, violence, guns, sex, explosions, did we mention sex? Jessica Alba is back as Nancy dancing like a pro, as is Rosario Dawson (Gail) who shoots her way through town in S&M outfits Madonna would envy. There are plenty of dames to kill for (Jaime King as Goldie/Wendy, Juno Temple as Sally, the list goes on). The most suprising appearance is made by Lady Gaga — who is barely recognizable as a waitress.
The stellar cast also includes a few men. Josh Brolin is the lead, Dwight. He’s trying to figure out why he’s suddenly wearing a dramatically different face from the last Sin City (2005). The ghost of Bruce Willis appears. And Ray Liotta, well, you know how mad he can get. Seeing Brolin and Mickey Rourke (Marv, Dwight’s loyal sidekick) side by side makes us wonder if the casting director ever considered Rourke for the role of Dwight. Rourke could’ve brought some real life plastic surgery experience to the screen.
