Nerlens Noel has to start his sure-to-be-amazing NBA career playing for the overmatched Philadelphia 76ers, but Noel seems to be thinking it’s a big opportunity–not a drag. After all, Noel could be the 9th man in San Antonio, watching from the Spurs bench as Boris Diaw and Tim Duncan demonstrate just how basketball is played. But instead Noel’s in the game, running the floor, having fun it seems. (See behind the back pass below.)
The other night Noel made All-World Houston Rocket James Harden look like a JV kid at the rim with a ferocious block that Dikembe Mutombo would envy. This Kentucky alum is the real athletic deal. And he might–if the Sixers can win more than 28 games–contend for Rookie of the Year.
