Even if you’ve never seen a Mission: Impossible movie, you know that Hollywood movie mega star Tom Cruise plays the protagonist, Ethan Hunt. Since the first installment was released in 1996, Cruise has been literally on the run, driving fast cars, jumping out of planes and bringing down bad guys.
Get ready to see more of Cruise and his new co-star Hayley Atwell as they promote the upcoming seventh installment of Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part I.
Atwell (Agent Peggy Carter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe) plays Grace, whom the MI director Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) described as a “destructive force of nature” whose character’s loyalties are “somewhat ambiguous.” When Atwell shared the photo above, she wrote: “Feast your eyes on a first look.”
When the above photo of Cruise and Atwell filming a scene in a car was shared (director McQuarrie took the photo), it was captioned: “@wellhayley’s new driving instructor @tomcruise” with the hashtag #buckleupbuttercup.
After admiring her red carpet look at Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick movie premiere (above) and at the James Bond 007 Omega event (above), Atwell fans can’t wait to see what she will wear for the Mission: Impossible premiere.
Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part I will be released in theaters on July 14. Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part II (which they filmed back-to-back) is scheduled for a June 2024 release.
