ESPN is airing MLS is Back Tournament games from July 8 to August 11. The tournament (which is being held without an audience) is using extensive medical protocols (e.g. all players and coaches sitting on the bench must wear a mask and social distance), and a comprehensive COVID-19 testing plan is in place and led by infectious disease experts.
Note: Both Nashville SC and FC Dallas withdrew from the tournament after arriving in Orlando due to a number of positive coronavirus tests.
All 54 MLS is Back Tournament soccer matches are played at the “ESPN Wide World of Sports” complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. All members of the 26 teams are staying at the resort’s Swan and Dolphin Hotel.
MLS Is Back Tournament group stage matches are followed by knockout rounds. Winner earns the 2021 Concacaf Champions League spot. The plan is for the regular MLS season to continue after the tournament.
