Jennifer Lopez knows the music business right? So you know that her new movie Hustlers is gonna borrow what works from that side of the entertainment industry. One thing she’s taken is the collaboration theme that’s especially popular in hip hop. In hip hop parlance you might call the movie Hustlers by Jennifer feat. Cardi B, Lizzo, etc.
You know who else gets a superstar cameo that deserves an FT or feat.? Yup, Usher. Or as the man himself says in his role as a visitor to the club: “Usher, baby.” (That’s in answer to JLo’s question: “what’s your name?”)
And the tune that’s playing? Easy to guess, if you know the plot of Hustlers is based on strippers at the NYC club in 2008 who scam Wall Street marks out of there bank accounts. Yup it’s Usher’s then ubiquitous “Love in This Club” — ft. Young Jeezy, natch.
