Freeform didn’t skip a beat when it launched The Fosters spin-off series Good Trouble in early January. Now in the middle of its freshman season, the storyline follows sisters, Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez), as they embark on their post-college adult lives in Los Angeles. Mariana dives into the male-dominated world of tech, while Callie faces harsh realities clerking for a Federal Judge overseeing a high profile, racially charged lawsuit filed by Attorney Nia Walker.
Attorney Nia Walker is portrayed by actress Lisagaye Tomlinson. Her previous credits include memorable roles on Jane the Virgin, CSI:Cyber, Scorpion, Kroll Show and the daytime drama Days of Our Lives among others. Born in Darliston, Jamaica, she immigrated to South Florida at age six. Formally trained on violin and self-taught on piano, guitar and mandolin, Lisagaye co-wrote, co-produced, and released her first solo album with songwriting partner Kevin West in 2007. More recently, Lisagaye combined her skills to produce three short films and compose the score for one. [Download the FREEFORM app here; download is free.]
