On March 16, 2019, we published a posting entitled “Dateline: Wife of Murdered Dan Markel Defended by Miami Billionaire.” The post contained several misstatements, including that investigators believed Wendi Adelson hired men to kill her ex-husband, Dan Markel, and suggesting that Ms. Adelson had inappropriately cut off contact between her children and Mr. Markel’s parents. We regret publishing these statements, and have since pulled the post from our website. We apologize to Ms. Adelson and her children for any pain this article may have caused them. We also post a letter from her attorney in response to our previous post.
