Mother Beverages is a line of infused apple cider vinegar bottled drinks. The all-natural sparkling probiotic drink made with organic fruit and herbs is available in six flavors: Pineapple Turmeric, Strawberry Limeade, Lime Ginger, Raspberry Rose, Blueberry Sage, and Blood Orange. Mother is the brainchild of husband and wife team Stephen Ellsworth and Allison Ellsworth of Dallas, Texas. They both left their jobs in the oil and gas industry to launch Mother. Allison struggled with many allergies and “unhealthy gut” among other things and after trying many different medications, tried drinking apple cider vinegar every day, which helped but tasted awful. That’s when she started to make her own “hooch” as her father called it, and soon family and friends were asking for more.

On December 9, the Ellsworths pitch their business on Shark Tank, where they ask for an investment of $400,000 in exchange for ten percent equity. They have the good fortune of pitching in front of two guest Sharks who know a thing or two about the beverage industry — Rohan Oza of Vitamin Water fame and Bethenny Frankel, founder and creator of SkinnyGirl.
