Freaker USA is a company that makes one-size-fits-all beverage insulators commonly referred to as beer koozies. (Koozies can also be used on soda cans, wine bottles, Big Gulps, water bottles, you name it.) “Freakers keep your drinks cold, your hands dry, and they’ll fit anything you want to drink out of.”
The founder of Freaker USA, Zach Crain of Wilmington, North Carolina, pitched his beverage accessory business on Shark Tank in October 2012. The bearded young man in the top hat and short shorts made a memorable presentation (he did a somersault as he entered the Tank) but, alas, he did not leave with a deal.

After Shark Tank, Freaker USA raised $255,264 via a Kickstarter campaign to launch a line of colorful socks called Freaker Feet. The company also landed huge licensing deals with the NFL and DC Comics to feature professional football players (Tom Brady and Eli Manning are no exceptions) and superhero emblems (Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, Aquaman and the Green Lantern) on their koozies and socks. Several college logos (Arizona State, Bama, Florida, Georgia) are also available thanks to a deal with Jenkins Enterprises. In other words, Freaker is killing it. New episodes of Shark Tank air Sundays at 9 pm on ABC.
