Mikki Bey is the owner of the Los Angeles lash studio Mikki Bey Eyelash Extensions. In October 2015, Bey pitched her idea of expanding her business (she currently has six lash technicians working for her) into a full luxury brand on Shark Tank. She went into the Tank seeking an investment of $300,000 in exchange for 20 percent equity. It was an emotional pitch. She cried when Barbara Corcoran told her that she was out because she saw it as “a service not a business.” Alas, Bey did not get a deal.

One year after the Shark Tank episode aired, the dynamic passionate Mikki Bey Crawford closed her salon after five years of being in business and earned her MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business. With her new degree, she started working for the giant pharmaceutical company Allergan as a Business Development Manager, Facial Aesthetics. She’s still with Allergan now with the title of Strategic Account Manager. New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 10, 2018) air Sundays at 9 pm on ABC.
