On the Teen Mom OG episode “Mama Bear,” while Cheyenne Floyd talks to her cousin Eli about her daughter Ryder’s rare genetic disorder, Amber welcomes her brother Shawn aka “Bubby” in her home for a visit. Shawn tells his sister, “I think you’re genuinely more happy,” with Andrew compared to her ex Matt Baier. Amber goes on to talk about how she was depressed after her break-up with Matt and instead of turning to drugs she drank a lot, and Andrew drank with her. But once they found out they were pregnant, they both stopped. “We’re keeping each other straight,” she says.
Shawn says, “So, you have James now but what’s going on with Leah, that’s the big question.” He asks if Amber if she’s “cool with the current custody situation.” Amber tells her brother that she and Leah’s father Gary talked about it, and Leah wantedto do her own thing (living with Gary), and that Amber is “going to have to be” okay with it. Shawn asks Amber, what if Leah changes her mind and says ‘hey, I want to stay at mom’s house for the next five days — is Gary going to let her do that? Amber shrugs her shoulders. Teen Mom OG airs Mondays at 9 pm on MTV.
