EyeBloc is a plastic cover designed to cover laptop webcams. The entrepreneur behind the product, Wharton Business School graduate CJ Isakow (class of 2008) of Washington, D.C., pitched his business on Shark Tank in January 2014. He went into the Tank seeking an investment of $50,000 in exchange for 10 percent equity. Isakow’s pitch was enthusiastic but he did not get a deal.

Isakow also produced the EyeBloc RFID Blocking Card which protects credit card and debit card information in your wallet and purse. See link below.

Since Shark Tank, Isakow moved to San Francisco. While working in corporate finance at Airbnb, he discovered employees were given branded webcam covers. He soon after quit his job and bought the utility patent and inventory of SpiShutter, a flat magnetic strip that attaches to a computer’s built-in magnet, and allows the user to close the laptop — see link above. New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 10, Fall 2018) air Sunday nights on ABC.
