Bitsbox is a monthly subscription box service that teaches kids computer coding. There are a variety of packages based on age and them (animals, robots, etc.). The two founders of Bitsbox, former Google employees Scott Lininger and Aidan Chopra, pitched their business on Shark Tank in February 2017. They had the good fortune of pitching in front of fellow ex-Google employee, Chris Sacca. Sacca made them an offer but when the Bitsbox founders counter-offered, Sacca withdrew his offer.

The good news is that after the Shark Tank episode aired, Bitsbox raised the money (from “non-celebrity” investors) which they needed to grow. They’ve hired three new employees and doubled their office space to include a video studio. And they’ve recently added more than 10 new features to the Bitsbox API app. New episodes of Shark Tank (Season 10, Fall 2018) air Sunday nights on ABC. [27 Favorite Shark Tank Products at Amazon]
