Pink Shutter Photobooths is a company that rents photobooths for private and corporate events in California and Las Vegas. The two entrepreneurs behind Pink Shutter Photobooths, Tom Kanemoto and Lance Yabut, put on their best pink shirts and pitched their business on Shark Tank in May 2013. They went into the Tank seeking an investment of $300,000 in exchange for 10 percent equity. Party shark Barbara Corcoran offered them $300,000 for 33 percent equity, and they accepted.

Since Shark Tank, Pink Shutter Photobooths have added New York, Dallas, and Honolulu to their markets. And they’ve launched the spin-off Speedway Photo Booth, which uses the same technology and produces the same high quality prints but with an open concept photo booth. It’s designed for even faster and easier setups at special events. Kanemoto and Yabut are also offering a trademarked Mentoring Entrepreneurship program: a start-up bundle of 6 sessions of start-up business advice and mentoring expertise is available for $1000.
