The Painted Pretzel is a company that makes and sells chocolate-dipped pretzels. The entrepreneur behind The Painted Pretzel is Raven Thomas of Scottsdale, Arizona. She started selling her product (which she made in her kitchen) in local mom and pop shops. When large orders started to come in from big stores including Neiman Marcus and one worth $2 million from SAM’s Club, Thomas pitched her business on Shark Tank in February 2012. She went into the Tank seeking an investment of $100,000 in exchange for 25 percent equity. She got exactly what she asked for from billionaire Mark Cuban.

Six years later and Thomas is still working with Cuban. The Painted Pretzel boasts of having top-tier corporate clients including Google, Saks Fifth Avenue, New York Yankees, and PayPal, among others. And The Painted Pretzel is available in Cuban’s Landmark movie theaters. Fun fact not mentioned on Shark Tank, Thomas is married to retired NFL football player Eric Thomas. They are college sweethearts — they met at Florida State University.
