Brilliant Pad is the automatic self-cleaning dog potty system designed for small dogs (25 lbs. and under). The machine looks like a miniature treadmill lined with a dog pad — aka wee-wee pad. After the dog relieves herself on the Brilliant Pad, a roller changes the pad and replaces it with a fresh new pad. The pad absorbs pee; poop is tucked into a lining in the machine that seals the waste. The owner is in charge of removing and replacing the roll about every two weeks. The inventor of BrilliantPad, Alan Cook of Chicago, Illinois, pitched his business on Shark Tank in November 2017. He went into the Tank seeking an investment of $500,000 in exchange for 5 percent. He accepted Lori Greiner‘s offer of $500,000 in exchange for five percent with a $2.50 per unit royalty and a line of credit.

In February 2018, when asked what the next steps are for Brilliant Pad, Cook said: “We are working to increase our awareness and distribution. BrilliantPad will be available for sale in several countries outside North America later this year.”
