In The Big Bang Theory episode “The Reclusive Potential,” while Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) throw a tame bachelorette party for Amy (Mayim Bialik), bachelor Sheldon (Jim Parons) is invited to the cabin of reclusive scientist, Doctor Wolcott. Good thing Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg) tag along. Wolcott suggests that they hunt for rabbit for dinner.
[MacNicol played a smart doctor on Numb3rs, too]
Doctor Wolcott is portrayed by Peter MacNicol. MacNicol is known for his roles on Veep (Jeff Kane), Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Prof Elliot Randolph), CSI: Cyber (Simon Sifter), Grey’s Anatomy (Dr. Robert Stark), Numb3rs (Dr. Larry Fleinhardt), 24 (Tom Lennox), and Ally McBeal (attorney John Cage, for which he won a Primetime Emmy Award), among many others. MacNicol is also recognized for his dramatic roles in the films Heat (Cyrus Kinnick), Sophie’s Choice (Stingo), and Dragonslayer (Galen). The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8pm on CBS, right before Young Sheldon. [Binge watch The Big Bang Theory via CBS All-Access]
