There are a number of familiar faces in the MacGyver episode “Skyscraper – Power.” The Skyscraper refers to the building in Shanghai where a billionaire’s son, Ethan Jericho (Elisha Henig, Alex, Inc.), is being held as a hostage. The power refers to the electricity that’s been cut off by Ethan’s kidnapper. When Mac (Lucas Till) and Jack (George Eads) set out save Ethan, they commandeer a private jet occupied by an octogenarian couple who put up a fight. The man Saul is portrayed by 7x Emmy Award-winner Ed Asner. The woman Edith is portrayed by 3x Oscar nominee Piper Laurie. Ethan’s father Ralph Jericho is portrayed by Raphael Sbarge.
Sbarge is known for his roles on Once Upon a Time (Dr. Archie Hopper), Longmire (Agent Decker), Murder in the First (David Molk), Dexter (Jim McCourt), Prison Break (Ralph Becker), and The Guardian (Jake Straka), among others. Sbarge is also recognized for his role as Glenn in the Tom Cruise film Risky Business. MacGyver airs Fridays at 8pm on CBS, right before Hawaii Five-0.
