In the A.P. Bio episode “Burning Miles,” high school teacher Jack (Glenn Howerton) puts his students on a new mission to seek revenge on his academic nemesis Miles (Tom Bennett). It’s all he can think about. So when Principal Durbin’s (Patton Oswalt) upbeat secretary Helen approaches Jack to make something for the annual bake sale, he says no. But that doesn’t keep Helen from badgering him. She even gives “the brainiac” Jack a roll of cookie dough. She thinks his cookie should be called “The Nutty Professor.”
Helen is portrayed by Paula Pell. The Emmy Award-winning writer (Saturday Night Live) wrote the 2015 comedy Sisters starring Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph (see link above). As an actress, Pell is recognized for her acting roles on The Catch (Carol Cooney) and 30 Rock (Paula Hornberger), among others. A.P. Bio airs Thursdays at 8:30pm and 9:30pm on NBC, right before Chicago Fire.
