In the American Housewife episode “Field Day,” Katie (Katy Mixon) sets out to prove to all the moms in Westport that she can compete on Field Day at her daughter Anna-Kat’s (Julia Butters) school. Katie takes things a little too far on Team Blue with or without the help of Nancy Granville. Last time we saw Nancy was in the November 2017 episode “Gala Auction” when Katie got her son Oliver (Daniel DiMaggio) to bribe families to donate things for the spring gala.
Nancy Granville is portrayed by Sara Rue. She’s known for her roles on Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (Librarian), Bones (behavorial analyst Karen Delfs), Mom (Candace), Rules of Engagement (Brenda), Less Than Perfect (Claude Casey), and Popular (Carmen Ferrara), among others. Fun fact: Rue made her acting debut when she was 9 years old in the 1988 film Rocket Gibraltar with Burt Lancaster and Macaulay Culkin. American Housewife airs Wednesdays at 9:30pm on ABC, right after Modern Family and right before Designated Survivor.
