Husband and wife team Michael Perry and Amy Perry of Albany, Oregon are the inventors of SnoofyBee. It’s a changing pad designed to keep babies from touching the mess (poop) during diaper changes. The changing pad has a collapsible soft barrier that wraps around the baby’s waist and can hold baby toys and teethers to distract the child. The Perrys (and their 10-month-old baby Emmitt — he is one of five!) are pitching their business on Shark Tank on November 5. They are seeking $85,000 in exchange for 10 percent equity of their patent-pending product SnoofyBee.
[SnoofyBee is on sale on Amazon]
SnoofyBee changing pads come with foam pillows, are water-resistant, and fold up into a cute clutch. Note: Use of Snoofybee is recommended for newborns up to 2-year-olds with a chest size smaller than 22 inches. They’re sold online on the SnoofyBee website and on Amazon for $29.99 (see link above) with free shipping for Prime members. It’s the perfect price point for such a product, which would be easy for any expecting parent to add to their baby registry. The SnoofyBee price point is strong because it’s not much of a premium over regular baby changing pads. Shark Tank airs Sundays at 9pm and 10pm on ABC.
