Magic Cook is a portable cooker that doesn’t need electricity, battery, gas or fire. The stainless steel container uses heat packs that boil added water to cook food — which takes about 30 seconds. The founder of Magic Cook, Sharon Yuu, pitched her business on Shark Tank in 2014. She went into the Tank seeking an investment of $100,000 in exchange for 20 percent equity. She accepted $100k for 33 percent from Daymond John.
Magic Cook continues to sell a variety of products including a cup and a triple-layer lunchbox. In 2016, when Daymond John went on HSN.com, Magic Cook products sold out in the first five minutes.
