The Season 9 premiere episode of Shark Tank is a two-hour special which features husband and wife entrepreneurial team Scott Reamer and Megan Reamer of Crested Butte, Colorado. They created Jackson’s Honest, a line of potato and tortilla chips made with organic coconut oil, for their son Jackson who was diagnosed with a rare variant of Aicardi-Goutieres Syndrome. The chips are perfect for low-inflammation diets like Jackson’s. Sadly, Jackson died suddenly on August 13, less than two months before the episode airs on October 1.

On the Jackson’s Honest website is a post called “Forever in Our Hearts.” The family writes of Jackson’s passing: “One day the joy and privilege of having him in our lives will surpass the pain of having suddenly lost him unexpectedly and too early.” Jackson was 16. Shark Tank airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC, right after The Toy Box.
