Besides being an excellent NFL sideline reporter (and more), Fox Sports’ Emmy-winning Jennifer Hale is the founder of an organization called Sideline Pass with Jennifer Hale — dedicated “to educating and empowering young women through seminars and community outreaches.” So it makes perfect sense that Hale’s recent tweets (she has more than 70K followers) include sharing news about the accomplishments of Beth Mowins. Mowins, of course, will become the second woman (and first in 37 years) to call the play-by-play of an regular season NFL game broadcast in 2017. Busting through the glass ceilings of the world is what Hale’s Sideline Pass helps young women strive to do. Mowins is a great example of what Hale’s org hopes to see more of: “little girls with dreams become women with vision.”
[Hale wrote Historic Plantations of Alabama’s Black Belt]
Hale is entering her 7th season on the Fox team. In 2017 she’ll work with the Fox NFL team of Sam Rosen and David Diehl in the booth. (See full Fox teams below.) Hale is a New Orleans native, with a degree from LSU and a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University. The multitalented Hale is an author (see above), a serious fitness buff and also a former Miss LSU and homecoming queen. In other words, Hale is a beautiful humanitarian in great shape who also investigates what NFL coaches think of the opposing team’s defensive set. One of a kind.
